In 2020, the League of Women Voters will be 100 years old. Our celebration begins in this month, with a video interview of Elaine Weiss, author of The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote, followed by a discussion of her book. This fascinating book tells the story of the final state, Tennessee, to ratify the 19th Amendment to the Constitution. It reads like a suspense novel, full of political intrigue and maneuverings, and even though the final outcome is known, the path was definitely not an easy one
