  • Minocqua Public Library - Community Room 415 Menominee Street Minocqua, WI, 54548 United States (map)

Have you ever thought of participating in local government? Here's an opportunity to find out what happens at the county level. What is it like to serve on a county board? What does a county board supervisor do? The League of Women Voters of the Northwoods will host a panel of county board supervisors on Thursday, November 16th beginning at 6:00 pm at the Minocqua Public Library in the Community Room.

Representatives from the Lincoln, Oneida, and Vilas County Boards will be participating: Patricia 'Pat' Voermans in her first term in Lincoln County; Bob Mott who has served 6 years in Oneida County; and Erv Teichmiller a long time Vilas County Supervisor. This panel will talk about why they decided to run for office at the county level; what the job entails; what they have learned about service; and some of the issues facing a county board.

Come and find out why a county board supervisor matters and how you could participate. The Spring 2018 election is April 3, 2018.
