The League of Women Voters of the Northwoods (LWVNOW) and Citizens for Education in Town Governance (CETG) are sponsoring a public forum for Lac du Flambeau residents and candidates for the Lac du Flambeau Town Board on February 1st at 6:30 pm at the Lac du Flambeau School Auditorium located at 2899 WI Hwy 47, Lac du Flambeau.

All seats on the Lac du Flambeau town board are up for election which includes two supervisors and the town chair.  Here is the list of candidates.  All who have filed the necessary paperwork have been invited to speak and answer written questions from the public. The forum will be moderated by Ben Meyer, Newswatch 12, WJFW-TW, and facilitated by the LWVNOW and CETG.

Citizens for Education in Town Governance is a non-partisan group of volunteers in Lac du Flambeau that is dedicated to learning about town governance and sharing such knowledge and information with others.  The League is also a non-partisan organization devoted to helping members and fellow citizens develop educated political opinions and act upon them through the democratic process.

This event is a great opportunity for voters and candidates to meet, ask questions, and share views.
